Delhi: Prithvi Shaw’s return to the Mumbai cricket team did not last long, as he was dropped from the Vijay Hazare Trophy team. Shaw had returned to the Mumbai team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, and was expected to retain his place in the upcoming 50-over tournament. But this did not happen, and this time also there was no place for him in the team.

This legend of Fab-4 will retire from Test cricket

Expressed anger on social media

Shaw expressed his displeasure on social media after being dropped from the team. While sharing his List A cricket statistics, he wrote, “Oh God, what else do I have to see… If I am not good for the team with 3399 runs in 65 innings, an average of 55.7 and a strike rate of 126. But, I will keep believing in myself and hope that people will believe in me. I will definitely return. Om Sai Ram.”

Shaw remained unsold in IPL 2025 mega auction

Talking about the performance of the young batsman, he has scored 10 centuries and 14 half-centuries. He also has two double centuries in his name in 50 over cricket. He has also played 6 ODI matches for India. However, his season may end early due to his exclusion from the Mumbai team, as he was also dropped from the team at the beginning of the Ranji Trophy.

Apart from this, Shaw also remained unsold in the mega auction of IPL 2025, which was another setback for him. Now being out of the Vijay Hazare Trophy team can further increase his problems. However, if the selectors make changes after the first three matches, Shaw may get a chance to return to the team.
