Delhi: Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma rejected Sunil Gavaskar’s advice to Kohli to emulate Sachin Tendulkar’s historic inning of 241 runs. Gavaskar had suggested that Kohli should abandon the cover drive to score runs, as Tendulkar had done in Sydney. However, Rajkumar Sharma was not happy with this advice and rejected it.

Respecting Gavaskar’s advice
Rajkumar Sharma said, “Sunil Gavaskar has been a great player and his suggestions are always welcomed, but I think it is wrong to say about a player on the basis of only two innings that he is out of form.” Not there. “Kohli has already scored a century in this series, and this is possible for very few players.” He also said that it is wrong to criticize Kohli harshly on the basis of just two innings.
Confidence in Virat Kohli’s form
Rajkumar Sharma further said, “There is no doubt that a player like Virat Kohli will definitely return to form. I am confident that he will be back in form soon. He has been the best player in Indian cricket and does not need any criticism. I have talked to Kohli about this, but due to personal discussion he will not reveal much information about it.
He further added, “He is a very mature player and knows where to improve. I am sure he will make a great comeback in this series.”
