Delhi: An arrest warrant has been issued against former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa. This warrant has been issued to him after allegations in a case related to Provident Fund (PF). PF Regional Commissioner Shadakshari Gopal Reddy issued this warrant and ordered the Pulakeshinagar police to take immediate action.

Arrest warrant issued against Uthappa
Uthappa is the manager of Centuries Lifestyle Brand Private Limited. He is accused of deducting PF money from the salaries of the employees, but not depositing it in the PF accounts of the employees. This case is of Rs 23 lakh.
Uthappa changed address
On 4 December, Commissioner Reddy ordered the police to issue a warrant against Uthappa, but it came back to the police as Uthappa had changed his address. Officials are now busy finding out his new address. According to the rules, companies which deduct PF from their employees have to deposit this amount in their PF accounts. If this does not happen, then it is considered a violation of law and misuse of money, which Uthappa has done. The police are now trying to trace them.
Uthappa active in commentary after cricket
Uthappa, who played cricket for India for a long time, retired from international cricket in September 2022. After this, he has been seen playing in the Retired Players League and recently batted well in the Hong Kong Sixes Tournament.
Uthappa’s performance has been brilliant for India
Uthappa played 48 ODI matches for India, in which he scored 934 runs. During this period his strike rate was 90.59. Apart from this, Uthappa also played 13 T20 matches, in which he scored 249 runs. He has scored six half-centuries in ODI and one half-century in T20.
