Delhi: In Test cricket against Australia, Cheteshwar Pujara has troubled the Australian bowlers many times with his batting. When India won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia in 2018 and 2020-21, Pujara’s contribution was extremely important. However, currently Pujara is out of the Test team and is doing Hindi commentary for Star Sports during the India-Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
‘Make these changes in your batting only then runs will come’, this legend gave advice to Rohit Sharma
At present, the five-match series is tied at 1-1, and the fourth Test match to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground from December 26 will be an important match of the series. The team that wins this match will gain an unassailable lead in the series.
The new ball has to be played carefully
Before this match, Pujara has given some important tips to the young batsmen of the Indian team, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal. In a video shared on Star Sports, Pujara said, “As the series progresses, there may be some action on the Melbourne pitch and more grass may be seen. In such a situation, players will have to play the new ball carefully, as KL Rahul has done in this series. Gill and Jaiswal can learn a lot from the way KL Rahul is batting in Australia.
play as close to the body as possible
Pujara further said, “Play the ball as close to the body as possible, leave as many balls as possible, and if you are thinking of driving, it will be important to select the right ball. Focus on timing the ball, not on hitting it fast.”
Jaiswal and Shubman will have to score runs
Jaiswal, who was out without opening the account in the first innings of the first match of this series, scored 161 runs in the second innings, but after this in the four innings he scored only 0, 24, 4, and 4 not out. Whereas Shubman Gill did not take part in the Perth Test, whereas in Adelaide he scored 31 and 28 runs and was out for only 1 run in Brisbane.
