Delhi: The Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia ended on 5 January, in which the Indian team suffered a 1-3 defeat. Bumrah’s injury and concern for Team India

A big update has come out regarding Bumrah’s injury. According to PTI report, his injury was due to excessive workload in the Test series against Australia. The BCCI medical team is treating his injury properly so that he can be fully fit for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. In this series, Bumrah bowled more than 150 overs and took maximum 32 wickets.

Seriousness of Bumrah’s injury

The severity of Bumrah’s injury has not been known yet. If the injury is Grade 1, he may recover quickly, but if it is Grade 2 or 3, his recovery time may be longer. Due to his injury, he may be out of the upcoming ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy, which is a matter of concern for the Indian team.
