Delhi: Virat Kohli will play Ranji Trophy match after a long gap of 13 years. He has confirmed his participation in the match between Delhi and Railways to be held on January 30. Delhi coach Sarandeep Singh said that Virat has informed DDCA President Rohan Jaitley and the team management that he will be available for this match, although he will not play in the match against Saurashtra on January 23.
Kohli will be available for the match on January 30
Kohli has told that he will not be able to play in the match against Saurashtra on January 23 due to a sprain in his neck. However, he will be available to play in the last league match of Delhi’s Ranji Trophy. Coach Sarandeep Singh told PTI that Virat has given this information to the DDCA President and the team management. In such a situation, Kohli will be available for the match against Railways on January 30.
Last match played in 2012
Virat played his last Ranji Trophy match in 2012 against Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad. Recently, DDCA included Virat’s name in the 22-member preliminary squad. Along with this, Rishabh Pant has also been given a place in the team, and Pant has given approval to play the match against Saurashtra.
