Delhi: Team India captain Rohit Sharma, star player Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer have decided to withdraw from the next Ranji Trophy match for Mumbai. BCCI advised all the players to play in the Ranji Trophy, after which Rohit and Jaiswal participated in the Ranji match against Jammu and Kashmir, but both batsmen could not perform as expected.

Rohit-Rashwasi failing

Rohit Sharma returned to the Ranji Trophy after about 10 years, but he could only score 31 runs. In the first innings, Rohit scored just 3 runs in 19 balls and his performance was quite disappointing. In the second innings, he batted a little better and scored 28 runs, but he failed to play long innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who performed brilliantly on the tour of Australia, did not appear in form against Jammu and Kashmir. He scored 4 runs in the first innings and 26 runs in the second innings.

Apart from this, stylish middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer also described himself as unavailable for this match.

Will play ODI against England

These three players will now prepare for the three -match ODI series against England. After this, the Champions Trophy will also be played.

This is the first time for 23 -year -old Yashasvi Jaiswal that he has got a chance in the ODI team. An official of the Mumbai Cricket Association has confirmed the unavailability of these players. He said, “These players will join the Indian team.”

Currently, the Indian team is leading a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20 series.
