Delhi: There will be no photoshoot or press conference of captains in Pakistan before the ICC Champions Trophy. According to sources in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), this decision has been taken due to busy programs of teams before the tournament.
Press conference canceled due to busy schedule
PCB source said that the programs of all teams are very busy. England and India are playing a white ball series, while Australia is playing Test and ODI series in Sri Lanka. Therefore, the captains will not be able to have a collective press conference. Along with this, PCB has decided to organize an inaugural program for the tournament in Lahore on 16 February.
Tournament will start from February 19
India will not go to Pakistan for security reasons and will play all its matches in Dubai. If India qualify for the final, the final will also be in Dubai. The first match of the tournament will be between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi on 19 February.

Inauguration of Gaddafi Stadium
The PCB will officially inaugurate the Gaddafi Stadium on 7 February, with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif the chief guest. After this, the National Stadium will be inaugurated in Karachi on 11 February, in which President Asif Ali Zardari has been invited.
Travel and programs of teams
England will reach Lahore on 18 February, while Australia will reach on 19 February. According to sources, it has been decided in collaboration with the ICC that there will be no collective support conference or photo shoot.
