BPL 2025 Fixing: 10 players of 8 matches under suspicion, 6 national players also involved

Delhi: Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is once again in controversy. After the non -payment of the players and the ticketing dispute, now this league has been accused of match fixing.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) has received information from some secret sources and media reports that 8 matches of this season are suspicious. According to a report, a total of 10 players are suspected, including 6 Bangladesh national players, 2 unaccounted and 2 foreign players.

What were suspicious activities seen?

Questions have been raised about the performance of some players and teams in these matches. These incidents have come to light on suspicion:

1. Three consecutive wide and no-ball by bowlers
2. Selection of suspected playing XI
3. Deliberate batting

BCB set up independent committee for investigation

Taking the matter seriously, the BCB has set up an independent committee for investigation, which will help ACU. The board says that they will take all possible steps to maintain transparency in the league.

BCB said in its statement, “We are committed to maintaining honesty in cricket. We strictly follow the ICC anti-corruption code and will not tolerate any kind of disturbance. ”

Significantly, this is not the first time that there are allegations of fixing in BPL. In 2014, former Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful was found guilty of spot -fixing and suffered an 8 -year ban.
