Prior to the match, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi has given strict instructions to defeat the Pakistani team.
On Saturday, the Pakistan team led by Mohammad Rizwan practiced, but during this time star batsman Babar Azam did not appear. He was the only player in the team who did not participate in the practice session. In such a situation, there is speculation that he may be out of this important match against India. PCB chief Naqvi was also present in this exercise session.
After the practice session, Mohsin met the players of the Pakistani team and instructed to win against India at any cost. He said that this victory is very important to respond to the team’s critics. If Pakistan loses this match, then it will have to be out of the tournament.
According to PTI sources, Naqvi directed the captain, coaches and players to perform their best against India and win. During this, he also had a long discussion with fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf.

Significantly, India refused to play in Pakistan due to security concerns, due to which its Champions Trophy matches are being held in Dubai. If India reaches the final of the tournament, then that match will also be played in Dubai itself.
