Delhi: The coaching of Pakistan cricket team has become the most difficult responsibility at present. No matter how great the coach is, it is considered to be insulted. Many former coaches of the team say that Pakistan players are not ready to listen to them. Experienced players like Babur Azam are not ready to improve their game despite repeated mistakes. In such a situation, it becomes very difficult for any coach to take the team in the right direction.

This is the reason that many former Pakistan cricketers refused to coach the team. For example, Yunus Khan accepted Afghanistan’s coaching, but refused to take responsibility for the Pakistan team.

With the cancellation of the match against Bangladesh, Pakistan was ruled out of the tournament without any win. With this, the term of Pakistan’s interim white-ball coach Aqib Javed has also ended. In November 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed former fast bowler Aqib Javed as an interim coach and at the same time the deadline for his tenure was also fixed.

PCB had already confirmed that Aqib will continue to be the coach of Pakistan’s white-ball team till the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Now, when the journey of Pakistan is over, his term is also over. However, he will still remain part of Pakistan’s selection committee. The board had also indicated that they could be given new responsibilities after the Champions Trophy.
