Delhi: An old statement given by former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram of left -handed spinner Kuldeep Yadav of the Indian team is going viral again, in which he described Wasim Akram as his ideal.

Speaking at a private TV program recently, Wasim Akram praised Kuldeep Yadav and recalled his coaching days at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

After this program, an old interview of Kuldeep is going viral, in which he said that if I bowled fast, I would never meet Wasim Akram. Kuldeep said that in childhood, I used to bowl fast after seeing Wasim Akram and tried to swing the ball.

The Indian spinner said that when I first met Wasim Akram, I told him that when I bowled fast, you were my ideal. Wasim looked at me and said, “It is good that you left fast bowling, otherwise you could never meet me.”

In another interview, Kuldeep Yadav said that Akram was one of those people who impressed me a lot in my early career.

Kuldeep Yadav said that when I was selected for KKR for IPL, I spent a lot of time with Wasim Akram. During this time he helped me a lot in making me mentally strong and taught me how to bowl under pressure and when the batsman is aggressive then how to deal with him.
