Delhi: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has chosen silver Patidar as the new captain before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 starts. The team released its former captain Faf du Plessis before the mega auction. For this new responsibility of captaincy, both Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis greeted the silver and the change was completed without any controversy.
RCB has shared a fun video, in which his famous character Mr. Nags interviewed captain Rajat Patidar.
Mr. Nags and Silver talks
Negs: Should the rest of the teams have adopted a similar method of announcing the captaincy, as RCB did?
Silver: I do not know. I never saw what is happening and what is not happening
Negs: Oh, very innocent, silver. You really don’t know?
Silver: Really, I don’t know.
Negs: Then why are you smiling? Look, (the audience) he said that ‘Me’ does not know ‘M’.
From ‘Me’, Mr. Nags means Mi (Mumbai Indians).

What was the Hardik-Rohit captaincy controversy?
In fact, Mumbai Indians (Mi) had to face a lot of criticism last season, when Hardik Pandya was made the new captain of the team in place of Rohit Sharma. Some fans of Mumbai Indians opposed this decision and Hardik was also trolled badly in the stadium on several occasions. At the same time, the reports of the rift between Rohit and Hardik were also seen every day.
It is worth noting that in IPL 2025, RCB and Mi will be clashed at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 7 April. There have been 33 matches between the two teams so far, in which RCB has won 14 and Mi has won 19 matches. It will be interesting to see which team makes a bet this time.
