Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) suffered a close defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in their first match. In this match, the team felt the lack of their experienced fast bowlers, as Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav and Akashdeep were not available due to injury. However, now LSG has received relief news, because a pacer has passed the fitness test.
Avesh Khan expected to return
Fast bowler Avesh Khan has passed the fitness test in the Center of Excellence (first National Cricket Academy) of Bengaluru. However, it is not yet decided whether he will immediately join the team or not. The next match of LSG will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 27 in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

The situation of Mayank Yadav and Akashdeep
Before the match against DC, LSG head coach Justin Langer had updated about the injury of Mayank Yadav and Akashdeep.
Talking about Mayank, he said, “He was returning to the magnificent form, but unfortunately he hit his leg, causing infection in the finger. This has made his recovery a bit longer. Hopefully he will be available in the final stages of the tournament.”
At the same time, Langer said about Akashdeep, “Akashdeep is about 90% fit and he has also passed the Yo-Yo test. He is doing fast recovery.”
