Delhi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Mahendra Singh Dhoni comes to bat for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the lower order. He wins the hearts of fans by putting big shots in less balls and fans also wait for a glimpse of him. Now Dhoni himself has revealed how he hit sixes in the last over.
What did Dhoni say?
In a conversation with Geostar, Dhoni said that it is not easy to bat in the last over, but it is possible to put big shots with the right mentality and confidence. He said, “In the end the four is hit on its own, but you should always think of hitting a six. I have been lucky with the blessings of God that in the end I have been able to score more and more runs. Every single run in high-scoring matches matters, and when you hit a six, you get additional two runs, which can bring a big difference in the match.”
He also advised the bowlers, saying, “If there are four fours in an over, but the last ball is dot, then the team benefits. Therefore, the bowlers should believe this strategy. The same applies to the batsmen. If you believe that you can hit a six, then you can definitely do it.”
