Prior to the mega auction of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) released Maxwell, after which Punjab Kings bought him for Rs 4.2 crore. His performance in the last season was very disappointing. He scored only 52 runs in nine matches, whose average was 5.77 and his best score was 28 runs.
