Delhi: In this IPL season, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer impressed everyone with his batting. However, he missed it even after getting closer to century, but his performance was fantastic. Shashank Singh did not give Shreyas a chance to score a century while contributing with the bat in the last over. Despite this, Shreyas played an unbeaten innings of 97 runs and scored his personal best score in the IPL.
Beginning with the first ball
Shreyas Iyer started batting after Prabhasimran was dismissed in the fourth over. As soon as he came on the field, he hit a four off Rabada ball and then two balls after two balls, which cleared his intentions. Despite being dismissed by Priyansh Arya and Glenn Maxwell, Shreyas’s bat continued to thunder. In the 13th over, Sai Kishore hit two sixes and in the 14th over, Rashid Khan also completed a half -century by hitting a six.
Shreyas’s great performance despite injury
In the 17th over, the ball of Krishna, the famous Krishna, hit Shreyas’s ribs, which made him upset for a while. After taking treatment from Physio, Shreyas hit the next ball six and then hit a four. Subsequently, he blew the fourth and fifth balls for sixes. He also hit the sixth ball for a six, but Rahul Tewatia stopped the ball by making a great effort on the boundary, making him just two runs.
Take a bow, shreyas iyer.

Shreyas did not get strike
Rashid Khan bowled in the 18th over, and in this over, Shreyas got a strike on only one ball. Then in the 19th over, Shreyas hit a four off Rabada ball and then reached 97 runs with a single. All the fans hoped that he would complete the century on the next ball, but Shashank Singh scored 23 runs while batting brilliantly in the last over and Shreyas did not get a century.
Team’s total score reaches 243
Although Shreyas could not score a century, his contribution was important in the team’s total score. Shashank Singh scored 23 runs in the 20th over and took the team’s score to 243 runs, which is the biggest score of Punjab Kings, batting first in the history of IPL. Shreyas will not be sorry for this as the team scored a great score under his captaincy.
