Dhoni, 43, is in the last phase of his cricket career. Five years ago, Dhoni said goodbye to international cricket. This season he is a unaccounted player from Chennai. Dhoni stumped in just 0.12 seconds against Mumbai.
MS Dhoni Did exposure
Dhoni was shown a video of IPL 2024 during a conversation on Geographstar, in which he was seen taking diving catch against Gujarat Titans. However, Dhoni did not give much importance to that catch. He said, “It was a coincidence. If you look at it carefully, it seems as if a sack of rice is falling from the back of the truck. In fact, if I get a chance to take a catch with two hands, I always try with two hands, because it helps.”
Dhoni further said, “I am not a player who you see very much dive or taking great catch. I am a safe keeper and I like to keep my wicketkeeping in the same way.” Dhoni also told how wicketkeeping helps in his game. He said, “This is a challenge and that makes it interesting. If I had not been doing wicketkeeping, I think I am useless on the field, because during this time I can understand the game well.”
He says, “When I am just behind the stump, I get better help in understanding what is happening. In this situation I can tell the captain whether this ball was bad or the batsman hit a six on a good ball. Due to being behind the stump, I can differentiate between these two.”
