Delhi: IPL 2024 was quite challenging for Mumbai Indians (Mi) captain Hardik Pandya. He took the captaincy of Mumbai Indians in place of Rohit Sharma. After which Hardik had to face a lot of criticism. MI’s performance in that season was also very disappointing, where the team won only 4 out of 14 matches and finished last in the points table.

However, after this Hardik made a brilliant comeback. He performed a match winning for India in the T20 World Cup held in the West Indies and played a key role in winning the team. After this, he also performed well in the Champions Trophy, which India captured the title without losing any match.

Now Hardik’s goal is to repeat a similar performance for Mi. In his second match of this season against Gujarat Titans, when he returned to Mumbai’s playing XI, Ian Bishop asked about his mental and physical condition.

Hardik Pandya’s statement

During the toss, Pandya said in a conversation with Ian Bishop, “Everything is fantastic. Our preparation is very good. All the players are ready to play. Our goal is absolutely clear-we want to perform well as a team, support each other and stand together in every situation. If a player is disappointed, we will be ready to handle it. We are very positive and we are happy and we are happy.”

Significantly, Hardik did not participate against Chennai Super Kings in the first match of the season, as he had to face a match ban due to the slow over rate of the previous season. However, before the start of this season, the rules of the IPL were changed and such a ban was lifted.
