Delhi: Former England captain Michael Vaughan gave an interesting suggestion to Mumbai Indians (Mi) opener Rohit Sharma to perform better in IPL 2025. Vaughan said that Rohit may feel that he is wearing the jersey of the Indian team instead of the Jersey of Mumbai Indians, as he is the captain of the team winning the IPL title five times.
Rohit advised after the match
This advice was given by Mohammad Siraj of Gujarat Titans after dismissing Rohit Sharma of Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 8 runs due to Siraj’s big inverse after hitting two fours in the first over in the match played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 29.
Wearing Indian team jersey
Michael Won said, “Rohit should feel that he is wearing the jersey of the Indian team, not Mumbai Indians. He is a very good player. If Mumbai is to be successful this year, Rohit will have to score.
Rohit needs faith
Von further said, “Sometimes I look at Rohit, like in the Australia Test series, then it seems that he does not get upset even while living there. I am sure that he is not so. He needs to find his inner inspiration. If he is able to do this, he can prove to be very dangerous.”
Mumbai batsmen flop performance
The start of Mumbai Indians batsmen in the IPL has not been special. In the first match, his team was able to make only 155/9. Deepak Chahar’s innings of 28 runs off 15 balls brought the team to 150 runs. The top order flopped completely and Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma also could not convert their good start into a big score. Mumbai got the same condition in the second match too.
Mumbai Indians’ next match
The next match of Mumbai Indians will be against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 4 April. It will be interesting to see if Mumbai Indians will be able to return to the path of victory in this match.
