Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has taken a strict step against the alleged threats, blackmailing and harassment of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). SRH alleges that HCA President A Jagan Mohan Rao harassed him for free tickets for domestic matches. After this issue, SRH has threatened that he will talk to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and shift all its matches of IPL 2025 to second place.
A letter written to HCA
According to TOI, SRH general manager Srinath TB wrote a letter to HCA’s Treasurer CJ Srinivas Rao, in which all the issues were clarified. Srinath wrote, “These unprofessional threats and action made by the President of HCA give a clear indication that you do not want to see Sunrisers playing in your stadium. If this is the case then please tell us in writing so that we can inform us to the BCCI, Telangana government and your management team that you want to send us to another site.”
Constant trouble with HCA
Srinath also told that SRH was working with HCA for the last 12 years, but he had to face constant problems and harassment since last season.

Controversy over free tickets
Srinath further said that Hyderabad provides 3,900 free tickets to HCA for every match, which includes 50 tickets in the F12A box. But HCA claims that now only 30 people can sit in this box. Apart from this, he has also demanded 20 additional free tickets in the second box.
Locked box increased problems
The problem increased when HCA representatives locked a box during the match between Sunrisers and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 27 March. SRH reminded HCA that they also pay the fare of the stadium during the IPL, and if the franchise does not give 20 additional tickets, the box (F3) cannot be completely closed. SRH alleges that such incidents have become common in the last few years.
Demand for meeting with HCA
SRH has demanded a meeting with a member of the HCA’s top council to resolve the issue. HCA president Mohan also said that the state association is trying to resolve the matter.
Hyderabad’s next domestic match
SRH’s next domestic match is against the Gujarat Titans (GT) on 6 April, in which it will be interesting to see whether the dispute affects the match or not.
