How Javed Miandad spoiled Aamir Khan’s wedding day

Recently, Aamir Khan told a funny and shocking thing related to his wedding in an interview. He said that on the day he married his first wife Reena, Javed Miandad of Pakistan won the match by hitting a six on the last ball against India.

Aamir said, “We got married quietly on 18 April 1986. Did not tell anyone. The same day there was a match of India and Pakistan in Sharjah. When we returned home, everyone was immersed in the match at home. Nobody asked us anything about marriage.”

Aamir jokingly said, “I was very happy that India was winning the match on the wedding day. But, Miandad hit a six on the last ball. Everyone’s mood was spoiled. I was also very sad. After many years I met Miandad in a flight. I said to him, Javed Bhai, you did not do well. You had ruined my marriage.”

Javed Miandad has been one of the most successful batsmen of Pakistan. He scored 8832 runs in 124 Tests at an average of 52.57. In ODIs, he scored 7381 runs in 233 matches. His last ball six killed against India was still remembered by cricket fans.
