Delhi: Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli will be seen playing in the Ranji Trophy after 13 years. He will field against the railway from Delhi in the final Group D match of 2024-25 season. This match will start from 30 January and will run till 2 February.
Virat’s return to Delhi team
Virat Kohli informed Rohan Jaitley, President of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on 20 January about his availability for this match. Now the Delhi team has also been announced.
Changes in team after defeat against Saurashtra
Delhi suffered a 10 -wicket defeat against Saurashtra in Rajkot. In this match, Rishabh Pant scored only 1 and 17 runs, after which he has not been included in the team against the railway. Kohli will practice with the Delhi team on Tuesday morning. His last Ranji match was held against Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad in November 2012.

Virat will join the match against railway
After the Ranji match against the Railways, Virat Kohli will join the Indian team, as a three -match ODI series will start between India and England from 6 February. Through this series, Virat Champions Trophy will also prepare for 2025, which will start from 19 February. Virat’s performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 was not much, but now he will try to return to his form by playing Ranji.
