Delhi: The Indian men’s team, which went on Australia tour, had to face a shameful defeat in its second test match. In the Adelaide Test, the Kangaroos defeated the guests by 10 wickets. On the other hand, the Indian women’s team playing under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur had a disappointing start. In the first ODI played in Brisbane, India was reduced to just 100 runs. The last 6 wickets fell within just 11 runs and the entire team collapsed for 100 runs in 34.2 overs. Megan Shutt bowled lethal bowling for Australia. He took 5 wickets for 19 runs in 6.2 overs. Apart from them, Annabel Sutherland, Kim Garth, Ashley Gardner and Alana King took 1 wicket each.

Australia achieved the target easily

Australia easily achieved the target of 101 runs. Openers Georgia Wall (46*) and Phoebe Litchfield (35) gave a strong start to the team. Renuka Singh gave a little challenge to the Australian batsmen by taking 3 wickets and Priya Mishra took 2 wickets, but failed to prevent the victory.
