Delhi: Garima Mishra, wife of former Indian cricketer Amit Mishra, has made serious allegations against her husband and in -laws. He met the Commissioner of Police in Kanpur on Saturday and complained that he was tortured mentally and physically for additional dowry. Garima says that Amit Mishra has an illicit relationship with other women and he bothers them for this reason.
Garima Mishra told that she was married on 26 April 2021. After marriage, he was asked for Honda City car and Rs 10 lakh in dowry. Due to pressure, she started living with Amit in the RBI colony in Kidwai Nagar, but she did not get rest there either. The in -laws were intervened and the husband beat him up several times.
Allegations of hungry and humiliating
In the complaint, Garima said that many times he had to starve throughout the day. The husband used to talk to other women in front of him on the phone. When he opposed this, he was expelled from the house in December 2024. Since then she has been staying at her father’s house.

Amit Mishra has described himself as innocent on this whole matter. He said that in reality his wife is harassing him. He also claimed that his wife had first scrambled with him outside the bank office.
Police is investigating the case
The Police Commissioner has ordered an inquiry into the entire case. Now the police is trying to know the truth of this dispute based on evidence and statements.
Amit Mishra’s cricket career
Amit Mishra is a well-known leg spinner who has played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL. He has taken more than 150 wickets in his international career. Between 2008 and 2016, he took 76 wickets in 22 Tests. At the same time, 64 wickets in 36 ODIs and 16 wickets in 10 T20 International. He is out of the Indian team since February 2017 and is currently working in the Reserve Bank of India in Kanpur.
