Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja has strongly objected to the comment of Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill, which he gave about 14 -year -old explosive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals (RR). Royals easily achieved a big target of 210 runs, in which Vaibhav’s record -breaking century innings played an important role. To this, Gill had said, “Today was his day. His hitting was tremendous, and he took full advantage of it.”

On Star Sports Ajay Jadeja said, “A 14 -year -old child, who has so much confidence, and then just calling him a ‘good day’? Not to give this enough credit.” He insisted that Suryavanshi’s brilliant innings should be appreciated amidst such young and pressure.

Vaibhav made history in Sawai Mansingh Stadium by playing 101 runs in just 38 balls. He scored 11 sixes and 7 fours and completed a century in just 35 balls, the second fastest in IPL history and the fastest century by any Indian. He became the youngest player to score a century in IPL and T20 history, when he did this feat at the age of 14 years and 32 days.

Vaibhav has already been a part of India’s Under-19 team and has also left his mark in domestic cricket. From hitting a six on his first ball in the IPL to creating history, the journey of this young player has just started.
