Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) former all -rounder Ben Cutting has revealed that he is sending hundreds of fans messages every day and requesting to play the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as a replacement player. Especially people want to see him playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
SRH defeated RCB in 2016
Ben Cutting played an important role in SRH’s victory in the final of IPL 2016. The match was played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, in which SRH defeated RCB by 8 runs. In that match, cutting scored an unbeaten 39 off just 15 balls. He hit four sixes and three fours.
He did wonders not only with the bat, but also with the ball. He took important wickets of Chris Gayle and KL Rahul and took two wickets for 35 runs in their four overs. He was also chosen as ‘Man of the Match’ for this great performance.

Talking to ESPNcricinfo in an interview, Ben Cutting said, “If I check my message on Instagram now, 150 messages come daily, in which it is written, ‘Can you be available to play in IPL as a replacement player? Especially against RCB.”
He told that the IPL final of 2016 is the most memorable moment of his career. Cutting said, “What was achieved that night is still at the top for me. It was my dream to play for Australia and it is sorry for not playing Test cricket. But that IPL final is the biggest moment of my life.”

Ben Cutting has played a total of 21 IPL matches. He scored 238 runs at a strike rate of 168.79, his batting average was 21.64. He took 10 wickets with the ball and his economy rate was 9.16. He has also been a part of Mumbai Indians’s 2019 title team.
