Delhi: Vidarbha batsman Karun Nair made a big record in his name with his brilliant performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. He broke the record of List A cricket for scoring the most runs without getting out consecutively. He achieved this feat while playing against UP on Friday at Vizzy Stadium in Vizianagaram.

Remained unbeaten after scoring 542 runs continuously

Karun scored 112 runs in this innings and was out for the first time in the tournament. Earlier, he had remained unbeaten after scoring 542 consecutive runs. With this record, Karun broke New Zealand batsman James Franklin’s record of 527 runs.

33-year-old Karun has scored four centuries in this tournament so far, three of which have come in consecutive matches. He started by scoring unbeaten 112 runs against Jammu and Kashmir. After this he scored 44* runs against Chhattisgarh, 163 unbeaten runs against Chandigarh and 111* runs against Tamil Nadu.

Karun’s brilliant performance continued against UP also, where he created a new history by breaking James Franklin’s record with 542 runs.
