Delhi: Former Indian spinner Amit Mishra has strictly denied media reports of filing FIRs against himself and family in the case of domestic violence and dowry harassment. According to reports, Mishra’s wife has demanded compensation of one crore rupees and alleged that at the time of marriage, her family had demanded Rs 10 lakh and a car.

Mishra, 42, dismissed the allegations and warned that he will take legal action against those who misuse his name and picture. He wrote on the social media platform X (East Twitter), “I am very disappointed with what is going on in the media. I have always respected the press, but even though this news may be true, the picture used in it is mine, which is completely wrong. The use of my image in such non-related matters should be stopped immediately, otherwise I will be forced to take legal steps.”

Amit has played 22 Tests, 36 ODIs and 10 T20 international matches for India, in which he has taken 76, 64 and 16 wickets respectively. He also has 4 half -centuries in Test cricket. Talking about IPL career, he has played for Deccan Chargers, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants. He has taken 174 wickets in 162 matches at an economy rate of 7.37. He is the only bowler in IPL history to have taken three hat-trick for three different teams.
