Delhi: The 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today. RCB veteran batsman Virat Kohli has taken another big record. In the match played against PBKS in Mohali (Mullapur), Kohli scored an unbeaten 73 and set a record of 50+ scores in IPL.
This was his 59th half -century and a total of 67th 50+ in IPL. In this case, he overtook David Warner (66 times). After Virat’s 67 (59 fifty + 8 century), now Warner has 66 (62 fifty + 4 centuries).

Match condition:
Punjab Kings batted first and scored 157/6 in 20 overs. Josh English scored 29 runs for him, while Shashank Singh scored an unbeaten 31 runs. RCB spinners bowled brilliantly. Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs and Suyash Sharma also took 2 wickets.
In response, RCB did not start well and Phil Soult was dismissed in the first over. However, after this, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal took over the innings and shared an important partnership of 103 runs. Padikal scored 61 runs in 35 balls which included 5 fours and 4 sixes.
Virat Kohli won the team by playing a slow, but strong innings. He carried forward the score with captain Rajat Patidar (12) and finally Jitesh Sharma finished the match by hitting a six off Nehal Vadhera’s ball.
RCB won the match by 7 wickets and 7 balls remaining. With this victory, RCB has now reached third place in the points table. The team has 10 points in 8 matches.
