Karim Benzema's Spectacular Debut Propels Al Ittihad to Victory!

Karim Benzema's much-anticipated first game for Al Ittihad ended in a magnificent victory thanks to his two contributions (a goal and an assist) in The Tigers' 2-1 triumph. The dramatic match occurred in the Arab Club Champions Cup, similar to the prestigious UEFA Champions League for Arab clubs, where Esperance de Tunis represented Tunisia. On Friday, the French football sensation put on a show in the early morning match at King Fahd Stadium

The starting lineup now includes Benzema, who, alongside Abderazak Hamdalah, has a powerful front two well supported by Jota and Romarinho. While the legendary N'Golo Kante waited his turn on the bench, the recently acquired Jota debuted.

From the opening whistle, Al Ittihad dominated play, holding a 64% ball possession advantage and mercilessly firing off 12 shots, four of which found the back of the net. While they had seven shots, only one was on target for Esperance.

Despite this, Esperance scored in the 26th minute to win the game. Skillfully controlling a loose ball with his right foot, Oussama Bouguerra unleashed a powerful shot that found the upper corner of Marcelo Grohe's goal.

Not to be outdone, Benzema displayed his brilliance 35 minutes in. He showed great footwork on the left wing, outwitting his opponents and sending in a pinpoint cross that Abderrazak Hamdalah headed into the back of the net to score 1-1.

The first half maintained high intensity, with the same score at the break. Starting the second period, Al Ittihad maintained their dominant play while pressing for the game-winning second goal.

Benzema finally got his name on the scoresheet again in the 55th minute. After picking up the ball on the left flank, he cut in. He fired a booming effort from the edge of the penalty area, sending the ball sailing into the upper left corner of the Esperance goal

They tried their hardest to score, but Al Ittihad held on to their 2-1 lead until the final whistle. With the dust having settled, Al Ittihad topped Group A, tied with Al Shorta of Egypt on three points.

Al Nassr and Al Hilal, two Saudi Arabian clubs, fought each other in the competition. After a scoreless match against Al Ahli Tripoli, Al Hilal had to settle for a tie. Meanwhile, on Friday, Al Nassr was scheduled to play Al Shabab, another Saudi Arabian team.

Fans anticipate more breathtaking displays from this football genius as the Arab Club Champions Cup progresses after Karim Benzema's debut for Al Ittihad was regarded as a great triumph.
