Delhi: Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill is once again in the headlines with his brilliant batting. On Sunday (April 6), Gill’s unbeaten 61* run in the match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, won the team by 7 wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Gill scored 61 runs in 43 balls with the help of 9 fours and his strike rate was 141.86. He took the team to the target with 21 balls remaining with Washington Sundar (49 runs, 29 balls) and Serfen Rutherford (35 runs, 16 balls).
This is Shubman’s first half -century of this season. So far this season, Gill has scored 146 runs in 4 innings at an average of 48.66.

As soon as he scored a half -century in this match, the right -handed star batsman achieved a special place. This was the 25th 50+ score of his IPL career (21 half -century + 4 centuries). Star batsmen have become the youngest player to reach a quarter of a 50+ score century in IPL and also the first player to do so at the age of 25.
Gill made his debut for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2018 and was part of the team till 2021. During this, he scored 10 half -centuries. After joining Gujarat Titans in 2022, he has scored 4 centuries and 15 half -centuries.

Gill has become the only player to score 3000+ runs in IPL at the age of 26. His name has so far recorded 3362 runs in 107 matches at an average of 38.20. Rishabh Pant is second in this list, who scored 2838 runs in 98 matches by the age of 25.
Shubman Gill also has a record that he is the youngest batsman to score 3 and 4 centuries in the youngest age in IPL history. No player has more than 2 centuries before the age of 26.
