Washington Sundar gave a statement

After this, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli together took charge of the innings and made a partnership of 102 runs in the second session. On this, all-rounder Washington Sundar said after the end of the day’s play, “When Virat and Yashasvi were batting, we felt that we can move towards a big score.”

But, India got a big shock in the last hour of the day. Yashasvi Jaiswal was run out on 82 runs. After this incident, Kohli’s attention also seemed to be wandering. His strategy of bowling balls outside the off stump suddenly changed. He tried to play a shot on a ball and lost his wicket.

‘We will continue the fight again tomorrow morning’

India suddenly got reduced to 164/5 from a strong score of 153/2. India is still 310 runs behind Australia and needs 111 runs to save the follow-on.

Nevertheless, Washington Sundar expressed confidence of the team’s comeback. He said, “We will continue the fight again tomorrow morning. The atmosphere in the dressing room is positive. There is still a lot of time left in the game. Three days and a lot of overs left. We just have to work hard and do well for the team.”
