The tradition began with the 2022 Boxing Day Test, where spectators and players wore floppy hats to reflect Warne’s style. The stadium was filled with white, and highlights of Warne’s match-winning performance were shared.
This time in the Boxing Day Test, Warne’s children also started this tribute by being present in the stadium. More than 80,000 fans reached the ground on the first day of the fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test.
