Delhi: Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in the second match of the five-match Test series being played in Adelaide. With this the hosts have leveled the current series at 1-1. Kangaroos had a target of 19 runs to win this match, which they achieved easily.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss in the Adelaide Test and decided to bat first, but Team India could score only 180 runs. In response, Australia scored 337 runs in its first innings and took a lead of 157 runs. India’s second innings was reduced to 175 runs, leaving the hosts a target of only 19 runs to win. Australia achieved this easily without losing any wicket. Usman Khawaja (9) and Nathan McSweeney (10) remained unbeaten. The third test of the series will be played in Brisbane from 14 December.

On Sunday, India started playing at 128 runs for five wickets, but lost the remaining five wickets after adding only 47 runs. Rishabh Pant (28) was out early, while R Ashwin (7) and Harshit Rana could not even open the account. Nitish Reddy played a useful inning of 42 runs. Team India’s innings ended at 175 runs. Pat Cummins took five wickets for Australia, while Boland got three and Starc got two wickets.

Australia scored 337 runs in its first innings. Marnus Labuschagne (64) and Travis Head (140) made important contributions. Head scored a brilliant century in 141 balls with the help of 17 fours and 4 sixes. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj took 4-4 wickets for India.

The Indian team had a bad start and Yashasvi Jaiswal was out on the very first ball. Shubman Gill (31) and KL Rahul (37) added 69 runs for the second wicket, but after this wickets kept falling and the team was reduced to 180 runs.
