Jaiswal missed a century
After this the Australian bowlers performed strongly. Rohit Sharma (3) and KL Rahul (24) were out in the same session. However, Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal tried to control the innings and made a partnership of 102 runs. But, due to a misunderstanding, Yashasvi was run out on 82 runs. Virat Kohli, who scored 36 runs, also could not last long and was sent to the pavilion by Scott Boland.
India 310 runs behind
After this, Boland also dismissed Akash Deep, due to which the Indian team reached the score of 164/5. India is now in trouble and is still 310 runs behind in reply to Australia’s 474 runs. Indian batsmen will now have to play big innings so that the team can come back in this match. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja will come out to bat on the third day.
