Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the Sydney Cricket Ground, where he was taken to a nearby medical center for a scan. Not much information has been received about his injury, but Mayanti Langer on Star Sports told that the medical team wanted to check his back. Bumrah had major surgery in March 2023, after which he was out of cricket for a long time.
Bumrah went to the medical center for scan
Bumrah was not looking completely fit on the second day of the fifth Test. He bowled only one over after lunch and could not stay on the field for long. After this he walked out of the field. The medical staff of the Indian team sent him to the medical center for a scan, as he was feeling some discomfort.
In the first session, Bumrah dismissed Marnus Labuschagne and took his second wicket in the match. Tej Gombad has taken 32 wickets so far in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
In this series, Bumrah has kept India in the competition by bowling brilliantly. He started by taking eight wickets in the Perth Test, then sent four batsmen to the pavilion in the Adelaide Test. He took nine wickets each in the third and fourth Tests played in Brisbane and Melbourne.
