Delhi: In the Gabba Test match, Ravindra Jadeja attracted everyone’s attention with his excellent batting and completed the 22nd half-century of his Test career. Jadeja played this innings at a time when the Indian team needed it the most. Ravindra Jadeja has become the batsman to score the most 50+ runs while batting at number 7 or below in Test cricket since 2017. Jadeja has scored 50+ runs a total of 15 times during this period, which is a big record. He is followed by Niroshan Dickwella (12), Agha Salman (11), Quinton de Kock (11), Alex Carey (10) and Mehdi Hasan Miraz (10).
Jadeja’s big record against Australia
Ravindra Jadeja achieved another historic achievement in Test cricket against Australia. He has become the third cricketer to have a record of 6 or more fifty plus scores and taking more than 75 wickets in Tests against Australia. Before him, this feat was done by Wilfred Rhodes and Ian Botham. Jadeja has so far taken 89 wickets against Australia and has also scored 6 fifty plus scores.
Rescued India from crisis
The top order batsmen of the Indian team were a flop in the Gabba Test, but KL Rahul and Jadeja played brilliant innings and got the team out of a difficult situation. Australia batted first and scored 445 runs. On the basis of brilliant innings of Travis Head (152 runs) and Steve Smith (101 runs), the Australian team was successful in making a big score.
