Three matches have been played in the series so far, in which KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal started the innings. Whereas, Rohit Sharma had batted at number six in the last two matches. Rahul performed well in two matches, while Yashasvi showed strong performance in one innings. But, Rohit’s performance so far has not been special. Because of this, there is a possibility that Rohit will again open with Yashasvi.
Discussion on change in batting order
If Rohit Sharma opens, then KL Rahul can bat at number three. On the other hand, Shubman Gill can be sent at number six. Gill’s performance has not been impressive so far, so he may be given a chance to play with the old ball in the middle order.
Change possible in playing eleven
In the middle order of the team, Virat Kohli will play at fourth position and Rishabh Pant will play at fifth position. Also, keeping in mind the MCG pitch, Washington Sundar may get a chance. Sundar can play in place of Nitish Reddy, and Shubman Gill can also be made to sit out.
