Rohit practiced with pink ball
On Monday morning, Rohit Sharma was seen practicing in the nets. The 38-year-old opener has started his preparations for the test series by practicing with the pink ball. In the nets, he started with defensive shots and then played his trademark pull shots.
Former Australian opener David Warner covered Rohit’s practice for Fox Cricket. He said, “During the lunch break we saw India captain Rohit Sharma, who went straight to the nets. He is looking great and is preparing well.”
Rohit faced Indian bowlers during practice. The opening batsman practiced on the balls of fast bowler Mukesh Kumar, who was included in the traveling reserve, and also played sweep shots against the spinners.
Rohit left for Australia from Mumbai on Saturday. Now he will take part in the two-day practice match against Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra from November 30. This match will be played with pink ball.
The second Test between India and Australia will start from December 6 at Adelaide Oval. The Indian team hopes that captain Rohit Sharma will continue his excellent form on the field as well.
