Delhi: The second Test match between India and Australia will be played with pink ball at the Oval ground in Adelaide from 6th December. Indian captain Rohit Sharma is returning in this match. In the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy played in Perth, Jasprit Bumrah captained the team, while in the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul took the responsibility of opening along with Yashasvi Jaiswal.

In such a situation, before the Adelaide Test, the question was arising whether Rohit Sharma would open or KL Rahul would remain in his position. Now Rohit Sharma himself has answered this question and told that only KL Rahul will open in the second test. He also said that he will bat at number 5 or 6 in the middle order.
Rahul will open in the second test
Rohit Sharma said in the press conference, “The way KL Rahul batted was very brilliant. I saw all this sitting at home. He is fully entitled to open at this time.”
He further said, “There may be some changes in the future, but for now Rahul will retain the same position.”
There was a great partnership in the first test
In the first Test match played in Perth, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal had an excellent opening partnership. Together they added 201 runs in the second innings. Due to this partnership, Team India declared the innings after scoring 487/6 runs. In this innings, Rahul had scored 77 runs, while Jaiswal had played a brilliant inning of 161 runs.
