Delhi: Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting criticized Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s shot on the second day of the Boxing-Day Test. Ponting said that when facing a strong bowling attack, the player should be fully prepared and take right decisions.

Ricky Ponting, while talking to Channel Seven, raised questions on Rohit Sharma’s shot selection. He said, “It was a lazy and thoughtless shot. It didn’t look aggressive. He was just trying to tap the ball lightly, which was not right.” Ponting said that Rohit Sharma was known as an excellent hooker and puller since the beginning of his career, but in this shot he had no commitment and did not look aggressive.

Ponting also said that if Rohit Sharma wants to survive against this attack, he will have to be careful and take good decisions. He warned that if he did not do this, the Australian bowlers would harass him again and again.
Michael Vaughan also criticized
Former England captain Michael Vaughan also criticized Rohit Sharma. He said that this was a big mistake. Vaughan said, “This was no ordinary shot.
