Delhi: Batting against Team India’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah is always challenging. Right-arm bowlers have proved many times that batsmen remain troubled in front of them. There are some batsmen against whom Bumrah finds it easy to take wickets. One such name is Australia’s Steve Smith, who has often lost his wicket to Bumrah.

In the second match of India vs Australia series, Bumrah once again sent Smith to the pavilion. A big innings was expected from Smith in the first innings of Adelaide Test because his bat was quiet for a long time. This means that the chances of Smith becoming a victim against Bumrah are 50 percent. Smith’s average against Bumrah is just 14.50. Smith also fell victim to Bumrah in the first innings of the Perth Test.

At this time Steve Smith is struggling to score runs. It is becoming very difficult for him to score runs. He also flopped in both the innings of Perth Test. He could not even open his account in the first innings, and returned to the pavilion after scoring only 17 runs in the second innings. Smith’s last half-century was against England at The Oval in July 2023, where he scored 71 runs in the first innings.
