Delhi: The fourth match of the India vs Australia Test series seems to be full of excitement from the first day. Batting first, the hosts scored 475 runs. In reply, the Indian team’s innings looked a little shaky in the beginning. After this, Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar showed a special approach to save the credibility of the team.

‘Stupid! He should go to Australian dressing room’, Gavaskar angry at Pant

Washington Sundar scored the fourth half-century of his Test career and this is his second half-century against Australia. He played an important inning of 50 runs in 162 balls.

Earlier, he had scored 62 runs during his Test debut in Brisbane on 15 January 2021.

Partnership with Nitish Reddy

Sundar came to the crease after Ravindra Jadeja was out. He slowly added runs and made a partnership of more than 100 runs with Nitish Kumar Reddy. During this, Nitish completed his half-century and Sundar continuously supported him from the other end.

Smith sacrificed his life

When Sundar was on 18 runs, Steve Smith dropped his catch. This incident happened in the 81st over, when Mitchell Starc was bowling with the second new ball. Starc bowled a full delivery down the leg side, which Sundar tried to flick. The ball hit the back of the bat and went towards the slips. Smith tried to catch the catch by diving, but could not succeed. On this occasion, Sundar got lucky.
