Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) young batsman Ayush Mhatre on Saturday played a historic innings against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. 17 -year -old Mhatre scored his first Indian Premier League (IPL) half -century in just 25 balls and became the third youngest player to score a half -century in IPL history.

At the top of this special list, the Vaibhav of Rajasthan Royals (RR) is Suryavanshi, who set a new record against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the beginning of this season and set a new record by scoring a half -century at the age of 14 years and 23 days.

Mhatre played a brilliant innings of 94 runs while batting explosive. However, he was just 6 runs away from his first IPL century and was dismissed. Despite this, his innings became a topic of discussion among the audience and cricket experts.

Interestingly, Ayush Mhatre was left unusual in the mega auction of IPL 2025. But, Kismet gave him another chance, when Chennai Super Kings included him in the team in place of Ruturaj Gaikwad. Gaikwad was out of the entire season due to an elbow injury, and Ayush was replaced in the team.

Wearing a Jersey of CSK, Ayush Mhatre not only got his talent ironed by wearing a jersey, but also proved that he is ready to play a big role when he gets a chance.
