Delhi: Former Pakistani fast bowler and ‘Sultan of Swing’ Wasim Akram has recently praised Babar Azam’s batting skills. He described Babar’s cover drive as the best cover drive not only in the current era but in the history of cricket. Wasim even said that this shot of Babar is better than great batsmen like Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar.
58-year-old Wasim Akram said, “Playing Babar Azam’s cover drive is an art. His technique, timing and perfection make him different from other batsmen.”
On the other hand, according to the report of Geo News, former captain Babar Azam will not open for Pakistan in the upcoming two home Test matches against West Indies. Recently, Babar returned to form and opened Pakistan’s innings in the absence of Saim Ayyub.
For your information, let us tell you that left-handed batsman Ayub has recently suffered an injury. While fielding with Aamir Jamal, Syme twisted his ankle, due to which he lost his balance and got injured. Due to this injury the opener could not bat in both the innings.
