Delhi: Bangladesh defeated West Indies by 80 runs in the third T20 International and won the three-match series 3-0. Bangladesh, batting first, scored 189 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, in response to which West Indies got bundled out for just 109 runs in 16.4 overs.

Zakir Ali played a brilliant innings for Bangladesh and scored 72 runs in 41 balls. He hit 3 fours and 6 sixes in his innings. Apart from them, Parvez Hussain Emon added 39 runs on 21 balls and Mehndi Hasan Miraj added 29 runs on 23 balls. For West Indies, Romario Shepherd took 2 wickets, while Alzarri Joseph, Roston Chase and Gudakesh Moti got 1 wicket each.

West Indies had a bad start while chasing the target of 190 runs. Opener Brandon King was out without opening the account. Johnson Charles scored 23 runs on 18 balls, while Romario Shepherd scored the highest innings of 33 runs on 27 balls. Nicholas Puran added 15 runs in 10 balls, but the rest of the batsmen could not do anything special.

The performance of Bangladesh bowlers

Bangladesh’s bowling was strong. Rishad Hussain troubled the West Indies batsmen by taking 3 wickets. Taskin Ahmed and Mehndi Hasan Miraj took 2-2 wickets. Tanzeem Hasan Saqib and Hasan Mahmood also got 1 success each. With this victory, Bangladesh made a clean sweep of West Indies in the T20 series.
