Delhi: Bangladesh cricket team’s journey ended in ICC Champions Trophy 2025 (ICC Champions Trophy). His last match in the league phase was to be against Pakistan today (27 February 2025), but due to rain, the match had to be canceled without a toss. The Bangladesh team wanted to bid farewell to the tournament with victory, but the bad weather turned their expectations dashed. After the cancellation of the match, captain Najmul Hussain Shanto expressed his disappointment.
Shanto said, “I am very disappointed. We wanted to play this match, but the weather is not in our hands. We fought for a long time in both the last two matches, which was inspiring for us. We have to learn from our mistakes and make a strong plan for the future. “
Talking about fast bowling, Shanto said, “Our fast bowling has always been challenging, but in recent years many talented bowlers have emerged. Players like Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana are performing brilliantly. There are also Mustafizur Rahman (fizz), due to which our bowling is now looking stronger than before. I hope that these players will perform well in future and give their best for the team. ”
Regarding his batting and team’s plans, he said, “I have to practice properly on the nets and pay attention to the strike rotation. This is very important and I hope that the players of our team will understand what we have to improve next. “
