Delhi: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Iftikharul Ahmed Mithu, captain of Mohammadan team Tauheed Hridayay The behavior has been termed as wrong and unacceptable. During the match against Abahani on Saturday in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), Hridayy opposed the decisions of the umpires, due to which he has been punished convicted of Level 2 crime.
The match referee imposed a fine of 80,000 taka on Hridayay and 3 more points were added to their demerit points. He already had 4 demerit points, causing the total number to 7. Due to this, he has now been suspended for two matches.
In a conversation with the Daily Star, Mithu said, “The entire attitude of Tauheed Hridayay is unacceptable. Do not understand where he learned this behavior.”
During the match, there was a sharp debate of Hridaya with umpire Tanveer Ahmed and Shafuddaula Ibne Shahid Caikat, due to which they were already suspended for a match with four demerit points.
The Daily Star report claimed that the BCB Umpiring Committee has sent a notice to Hridayoy. If they accept punishment, there will be no further hearing. But, if he protests, there will be a hearing again on Monday.
After the match, 3 more points were added to his demerit points due to the complaint made about umpiring in the media. At the same time, it has also been revealed that the hearty behaved unfairly in the first hearing. Authorities have found him guilty of violating sections 2.7 and 2.8 of BCB’s code of conduct.
