Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an annual player of the Indian women’s cricket team for the 2024-2025 season. This time captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Deputy captain Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma have been kept in the highest grade ‘A’. This contract will be effective from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025. A total of 16 players have been included in three different grades.

Pay structure
- grade A: 50 lakh rupees per year
- grade B: 30 lakh rupees per year
- Grade C: Rs 10 lakh per year
Per match fee
Apart from this, all women cricketers will get the same match fees as male cricketers:
- Test match: Rs 15 lakh per match
- ODI match: 6 lakh rupees per match
- T20 match: 3 lakh rupees per match

Important changes and shocking decisions
This time Harleen Deol did not find a place in the contract list. Last time she was in grade C, but for the last two years her place has not been made in the T20 team. However, he played the last ODI against Ireland in January this year.
On the other hand, Shefali Verma performed brilliantly in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 and retained her place. He scored 368 runs in seven matches in this league at an average of 73.60 and a strike rate of 102.50, including two centuries.
